Top seeds progress to semis

Australia, Canada, Great Britain and New Zealand will contest the semi-finals of the Women's Sevens in Rio on Monday.

World Rugby Women's Sevens Series champions Australia powered to a 24-0 victory over Spain with Charlotte Caslick scoring twice. They will now take on Canada, who ground out a 15-5 win against France.

The second semi-final will be contested between Great Britain and New Zealand, the only two sides that have won all their games. Great Britain eased to a 26-7 triumph over Fiji in their quarter-final, with Abbie Brown bagging a brace, while New Zealand claimed a hard-fought 5-0 win over the USA thanks to Portia Woodman's first-half try.
