Rossouw de Klerk is the latest Cheetahs player to leave Bloemfontein, opting to join the Glasgow Warriors in Scotland.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Scottish club, where he will join up with his team-mates for pre-season training next month. In total he appeared 21 times for the side from Bloem, having signed from the Bulls in 2013. With Trevor Nyakane likely to be heading the other way up the N1, Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské will be looking for possible replacements in the coming months.
Speaking following the confirmation of his move, De Klerk gave the reasons for his decision to part ways with the Cheetahs.
'It's always been an ambition of mine to play for a European club and I'm looking forward to going over to Scotland later this month and meeting my new teammates in Glasgow,' said De Klerk.
'I'm delighted to have signed for the Warriors and I'm looking forward to playing in the Pro12 and European Rugby Champions Cup next season. I'm expecting tough competition to get into the team but that is a great challenge and something which really motivates me. Glasgow have made excellent progress over the last couple of seasons and I'm looking forward to being a part of that.'
He will join former Lions captain Josh Strauss at the club.
