Boks to face USA at World Cup

USA have qualified for the 2015 World Cup and will compete in the same pool as South Africa.

The Eagles beat Uruguay 32-13 in the second leg of their World Cup qualifier on Saturday. The first leg ended in a 27-27 draw, and so USA will advance by virtue of their win in the second match, as well as the 59-40 score aggregate.

The Eagles will take their place in Pool B at the 2015 World Cup alongside South Africa, Samoa, Scotland and the top Asian qualifier.

While Uruguay's hopes of qualification are not over, Los Teros must now negotiate the tricky Repechage process where the second-placed Asian team will have to be beaten before facing the winner of the Europe/Africa process in the final.
