Leolin Zas has been suspended for two weeks for taking Bernard Foley out in the air at Newlands on Saturday.
The Stormers winger received a red card for the incident.
Zas entered a guilty plea, and Sanzaar judicial officer Nigel Hampton found that the offence was on the low end of the scale. Zas's suspension is to be served up to and including 14 May. The Stormers have a bye this coming weekend, but he will miss the match against the Sunwolves the following weekend.
Hampton took into consideration the video footage where it was evident that Zas slipped as he intended to contest for the ball, as well as the fact that the Waratahs flyhalf was not injured in the collision. Hampton reduced the minimum entry point of three weeks due to these factors, as well as Zas's immediate apology to the player and his guilty plea.
