The Western Province U13 team WP take top honours at U13 Craven Week

Western Province beat Boland 8-5 in the main match at the U13 Craven Week in Kimberley, while the Golden Lions, Sharks, Free State and SWD also finished on a high.

WP ― who had to survive a late onslaught after taking an 8-0 lead ― finished as the only unbeaten side of the week for the sixth successive year.

In the penultimate match of the day, Free State secured a 35-19 victory against the Pumas, while SWD’s Ronaldo Kiewiet scored a hat-trick in their 34-5 win against Eastern Province.

Flank Christi Botes scored two of the Golden Lions’ three tries in their 20-5 victory against the Blue Bulls, the Sharks’ beat Border 22-10 and the Griffons claimed a 19-10 victory over Zimbabwe.

Namibia earned an 8-0 victory against Border CD, a successful conversion made the difference in Griquas’ 17-15 win against the Leopards, while the Valke and Limpopo drew 7-7.
