The Western Province Rugby Union has paid tribute to departing coach and former player Robbie Fleck.

Fleck, who was head coach of the Stormers between 2016 and 2019, was replaced by John Dobson ahead of next year’s Vodacom Super Rugby season.

The former Springbok midfielder (31 Test caps) was thanked for his many years of service to the union – both as player and coach – and received a special award on Tuesday night at the union’s annual awards ceremony.

The Stormers also posted a carousel depicting Fleck’s time as a player and coach at the union on their official Instagram page.

‘Thanks for the memories and the years of service as a player and a coach, Fleckie,’ read the caption.
