Schoolboy rugby fans will have to pay to watch this year’s World Schools Festival online.
The festival has partnered with Australian telecommunications company OVO, allowing fans to watch games at Paul Roos live or delayed live.
However, fans will have to subscribe and pay approximately R106, which includes a six-month pass to OVO’s entire sporting bouquet.
Subscribers can watch the festival either via the OVO mobile app, available on both IOS and Android, or via desktop.
This marks a change from last year’s festival at Paarl Boys’ High, when games were streamed on YouTube for free.
Tickets for the festival, which runs from 25-30 March, are available at R40 per day or R200 for a four-day pass.
