The four nominees are:
FRANS STEYN
Steyn kicked seven from eight goal attempts for a personal tally of 19 points against the Stormers. His physicality at the tackle kept the Sharks on the front foot, while his exemplary line kicking ensured that the visitors won the territorial battle.
MARCELL COETZEE
The Sharks flank was the official Man of the Match at Newlands. He was influential at the breakdown, and also won the battle at the gainline.
LIONEL MAPOE
The Lions wing scored a hat-trick against the Cheetahs on Saturday night to double his tally for 2014. He made 72m from seven carries, and beat two defenders.
FRANCOIS HOUGAARD
Hougaard, playing on the wing for just the third time this season, was named Man of the Match after the Bulls' win against the Rebels at Loftus. He scored a try, made 105m from nine carries, and beat five defenders.
