The four nominees are:

NIZAAM CARR
The openside flank produced yet another impressive performance for the Stormers with ball in hand and on defence, making eight carries and nine tackles against the Sharks.

COBUS REINACH
The Sharks scrumhalf contributed with some ground-gaining tactical kicks, but was more dangerous with ball in hand. This was no more evident than in the lead up to half-time, where he sniped from the base of the ruck to score a try.

MARNITZ BOSHOFF
The Lions and Bulls both scored two tries at Ellis Park, with Boshoff's boot proving to be the difference. The flyhalf kicked two penalties, two drop goals and four penalties for a personal haul of 22 points.

JACQUES DU PLESSIS
The blindside flank was the Bulls' best player on Saturday, gaining 56m from 10 carries and making eight tackles. He did miss three of his side's 24 tackles, though.
