Jake White is reportedly already busy recruiting new players for the Vodacom Bulls ahead of his pending appointment as the union’s director of rugby.
It has long been reported that White is set to fill the vacant director of rugby position following the resignation of Alan Zondagh, while Bulls CEO Alfons Meyer has all but confirmed that the appointment will be made public before the end of March.
‘If it wasn’t for the coronavirus disruption, we’d have made the announcement already,’ Meyer told Netwert24.com.
Despite not being officially tied to the Bulls, it is believed that White is targeting several overseas-based players in his recruitment drive. Locks Gerbrant Grobler (Gloucester, England), Jacques du Plessis (Montpellier, France) and Jason Jenkins (Verblitz, Japan) are all said to be on White’s radar.
Du Plessis played under White at Montpellier and most recently Jenkins also played under him at Verblitz.
