EP Kings captain Luke Watson has been ruled out of action for at least four weeks with a concussion.
Watson, who has had a terrible time with injuries of late, suffered a head knock in the 25th minute of the Kings' 30-25 loss to the Blue Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday.
Having recovered from a foot injury to lead the Kings in their opening match, Watson missed their second outing against the Golden Lions with flu.
His return to action against the Bulls was short-lived, though, and now the Kings will have to cope with the loss of their talisman for the foreseeable future.
Carlos Spencer's team will face the Lions again this weekend as they look to avenge the 60-19 drubbing they received at Ellis Park earlier this month.
