Raymond Rhule scored a second-half brace after coming off the bench as La Rochelle cut the gap on table-topping Toulouse to just one point.
Rhule scored both tries while playing 28 minutes for La Rochelle in their 59-0 victory over Agen in the French Top 14.
He was one of two Springboks involved in the win, with Dillyn Leyds starting on the wing for La Rochelle.
The victory continued La Rochelle’s hopes of finishing top of the table, as the difference between themselves and Toulouse is only one point, with two rounds left to play.
