Juan de Jongh scored a brace to help Wasps beat a 14-man Leicester Tigers 41-35, while there were also English Premiership wins for Saracens, Gloucester, the Exeter Chiefs, Bath and Newcastle Falcons.
In the final game of the round in Coventry, Wasps stormed to a 14-point lead in the first half, but the Tigers fought back valiantly in the second, despite losing lock Will Spencer to a red card for a head-high tackle just before the break.
Two tries from De Jongh, one in each half, in between tries from Josh Basset and Nathan Hughes, helped the hosts to a 32-28 lead as the visitors stayed in the game thanks to tries from wing Johnny May, Telusa Veainu and Sione Kalamafoni.
Leicester stunned the home crowd when May went over for his second, which made it 35-32 going into the final quarter of the match.
However, Wasps fought hard to gain metres, using their man-advantage to create the overlap, with Sopoaga kicking a further three penalties, for a personal haul of 18 points, to give his side their second win of the season.
Meanwhile, Johan Ackermann’s Gloucester maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a come-from-behind 35-13 victory over the Bristol Bears.
Bristol made the most of a sluggish first half performance from Gloucester to lead 13-3 at half-time. However, Gloucester fired after the break, eventually outscoring their opponents, with lock Gerbrant Grobler scoring one of their five second-half tries.
The win means that Gloucester joined Saracens, who beat the Northampton Saints 38-27, and the Exeter Chiefs, who thrashed the Sale Sharks 35-18, as the only sides not to lose a game after three rounds of the tournament.
In other results, Bath claimed their first win of the season with a 37-32 bonus-point victory against Harlequins, whose late comeback was in vain, while the Newcastle Falcons piled further misery on the Worcester Warriors with a 23-20 win.
