High-ranking sports officials will reportedly contact Rugby Australia with concerns about the potential fixing of a Wallabies match a few years ago.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the concern surrounds a match that the Wallabies were favoured to win, but their opponents were at attractive odds with betting agencies.
However, the Wallabies put in a poor performance, including several knock-ons, forward passes and off-target kicks, and lost the game.
There are also concerns over the close links between several of the Australian players and a horse-racing identity, as well as a starting price bookmaker, who they were pictured with on tour as well as in Australia.
