Wales up to No 2 in rankings

Wales have risen to second place in the World Rugby rankings following their 28-25 victory over England at Twickenham.

Wales' unlikely come-from-behind win sees their rating points tally increase by 2.68 from 84.63 to 87.31. They usurp England and Australia in the rankings, despite the Wallabies' 0.08 of a point increase following their 65-3 win against Uruguay.

England have been relegated from third to sixth place, falling below Ireland and South Africa.

Ireland didn't gain any points for their 44-10 win on Sunday, because their opposition, Romania, are ranked so low. But the Boks were rewarded for their comfortable win over Samoa with an improved rating of 82.66.

Scotland's consistency at the World Cup so far moves them up to ninth, overtaking Japan, Samoa and Fiji.
