Wales have climbed up to second in the World Rugby rankings after beating Ireland 25-7 in Cardiff.
The win that secured Wales a first Grand Slam Six Nations title since 2012 also earned them a 1.23 ratings points increase (88.73 to 89.96), enough for them to unseat Ireland in second position in the rankings.
Ireland were docked 1.23 points (89.92 to 88.69) and have dropped to third for the first time in 12 months.
Following their enthralling 38-38 draw, fourth-ranked England’s ratings tally was reduced by one point (87.27 to 86.27), while seventh-placed Scotland gained a point (79.17 to 80.17). Both sides’ positioning remain unchanged.
France’s hard-fought 25-14 win over Italy saw their rating improve by 0.70 of a point (78.44 to 79.41).
