Wales received a late injury blow as fullback Liam Williams has been ruled out of their semi-final against the Springboks through injury.
The news comes on the eve of Warren Gatland naming his team to face the Boks in Yokohama on Sunday. Williams will miss not only the semi-final but also the final should Wales beat the Springboks.

It is yet another blow to a Wales squad that has already been relatively decimated by injuries to key players. Flyhalf Gareth Anscombe and No 8 Taulupe Faletau were ruled out before the tournament, while they also lost flank Josh Navidi to injury during the quarter-final against France.
Williams’ place in the starting lineup is likely to be taken by Leigh Halfpenny, who has played in just two of Wales’ five World Cup fixtures this year.
There are still question marks over the fitness of experienced centre Jonathan Davies, who missed the quarter-final due to a knee injury.
