Jacques Engelbrecht has signed with the Southern Kings for the upcoming Vodacom Super Rugby season.
Engelbrecht made 15 appearances for the Kings during their debut Super Rugby campaign in 2013, and established himself as one of their star performers.
The abrasive loose forward moved to the Bulls after the Kings' demotion from Super Rugby, but over the past couple of years has battled to get game time, eventually returning to the EP Kings on a loan spell during last year's Currie Cup.
With the Southern Kings slowly starting to take shape for Super Rugby, Engelbrecht has now been confirmed as a contracted signing for the 2016 season.
'Jacques made a significant impact in our debut 2013 campaign and we are looking forward to the positive contributions he will bring to the team as we return to the Super Rugby stage,' said Southern Kings chief operating officer Charl Crous.
The Kings kick off their Super Rugby campaign against the Sharks on 27 February.
