Francois Venter Venter named Cheetahs' best

Centre Francois Venter was named the Cheetahs’ Player of the Year for the third time in a row at a team function in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.

Besides claiming the top prize of the night, Venter was also named the Backline Player of the Year for 2017.

The other big winner was flanker Henco Venter, who received the nomination from his peers as the Cheetahs Players’ Player of the Year, while he also collected the Currie Cup Player of the Year award.

Hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld was named as the best forward for 2017, with fellow Namibian international Aranos Coetzee collecting the Super Rugby Player of the Year award.
