Western Province captain Chris van Zyl says they want more than the single log point they need to secure top spot on the log when they take on the Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. DYLAN JACK reports.
Van Zyl wants his charges to show, once again, what they are capable of after putting 50 points past both the Golden Lions and Sharks.

‘I think the way we have approached this game is nothing less than wanting to go up there and make another statement,’ Van Zyl said. ‘We have been quite hard on ourselves with regards to what we feel our standards are. We felt we dropped off in some areas against the Sharks.
‘By no means are we comfortable with ourselves and that’s why we feel this game on Saturday is very important going into a semi-final. We really want to build momentum and also potentially make a big statement. I don’t think it is in anybody’s minds to go there just to pick up a point.
‘The plan is to go there and play proper rugby and come away with a win,’ Van Zyl added. ‘That does make it great for motivation and preparation for the week.’
