Bok assistant coach Johann van Graan will only take up his position as Munster director of rugby following the Tests against Ireland and France.
Van Graan’s arrival will coincide with Munster’s return to Pro14 round nine action when they take on Zebre on 26 November.
Van Graan will be taking over from Rassie Erasmus, who is set to return to South Africa as SA Rugby’s new director of rugby.
Although SA Rugby confirmed on Monday that Van Graan will remain available to the Boks for their first two Tests of the end-of-year tour, he will miss the clashes against Italy and Wales.
Notably, the Boks will also be without defensive consultant Brendan Venter for their penultimate tour game, as he remains contracted to Italy.
