The Bulls have confirmed that prop Marcel van der Merwe will join Top 14 club Toulon after the 2016 Super Rugby tournament.
The 25-year-old, who played seven Tests for the Springboks under former coach Heyneke Meyer, was recently named in the South Africa A squad for their two-match series against the England Saxons.
Van der Merwe will join compatriots Bryan Habana, Duane Vermeulen and Juan Smith at Toulon.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have announced that wing Jamba Ulengo and prop Pierre Schoeman have signed contract extensions that will keep them at the union until October 2018.
'There is no doubt that both Jamba and Pierre will be pushing for national honours sooner rather than later and to have two of the most talented players around at Loftus Versfeld for the next two years is great news,' said Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg.
'It is not only good news to our effort to build something special here at Loftus, but also to our fans, who will be able to enjoy the talents of these players for another two years.'
