BG Uys will start at loosehead prop in the only change to the Free State Cheetahs side for their match against Western Province in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Uys replaces Caylib Oosthuizen in the front row, with the latter dropping to the reserves bench.
Flank Tienie Burger has been left out of the match-day squad, after sustaining an injury in their 31-9 win over Griquas last week. Centre Tertius Kruger comes onto the bench to complete the match 23.
