The USA won their ninth straight Test by beating Romania 31-5 in Bucharest on Saturday.
Gary Gold’s men were not at their best, but still managed to put five tries past the home side.
USA scrumhalf Ruben de Haas opened the scoring after plucking the ball from the ruck, but Romania replied a few minutes later, sneaking through a hole on the right flank and nailing a quick offload to tie it up.
However, the Eagles regained the lead when Paul Lasike received an offload and charged through the defensive line to clear space and help Bryce Campbell score and make it 12-5 at the break.
The visitors were far better in the second half and took just five minutes to score as Ryan Matyas collected a box kick and cut his way through the disorganised defence for a try.
Campbell then grabbed his second try of the day before replacement wing Tim Maupin rounded off the scoring.
