Schalk Burger scored a try as Saracens thrashed hosts Wasps 38-15, while there were also wins for Newcastle, Bath, Leicester, Northampton and Sale in the English Premiership.
Saracens led 18-13 at half-time thanks to tries to wing Chris Wyles, fullback Alex Goode and Burger, who started at openside flank.
But Burger was yellow-carded late in the first half when he came in from an offside position as Wasps looked set to score from a driving maul. The hosts were awarded a penalty try as a result.
Flyhalf Owen Farrell joined Burger in the sin bin soon after for a high tackle, and Willie le Roux then scored for Wasps to narrow the gap to five.
However, Saracens regained their composure in the second half, and late tries to Goode and replacement Ben Spencer secured the bonus-point win.
On Saturday, the Newcastle Falcons pulled off a thrilling 28-20 victory over the Exeter Chiefs.
Exeter have been in devastating form in recent weeks, opening a 10-point lead at the top of the table, but Newcastle produced a tenacious display to claim an upset win.
The Falcons dominated the first half and took a 25-3 lead thanks to three tries, including one from former Sharks hooker Kyle Cooper.
A different Exeter side took to the field in the second half, as they launched wave after wave of attack on the Falcons’ line. The visitors scored three unanswered tries to close the gap to 25-20 with two minutes remaining. But Newcastle finally managed to add to their tally with an 80th-minute penalty to hold on for the victory.
