Toulon moved back to the summit of the Top 14 log as they defeated Clermont 27-19 at Allianz Riviera on Saturday.

Despite having been called back from international duty, Bryan Habana failed to feature for Toulon, as his replacement David Smith grabbed a brace in the top-of-the-table clash.

Elsewhere, Johan Goosen kicked two penalties and a drop goal to help Racing Métro to a 14-9 victory over Rory Kockott's Castres.

Gio Aplon scored Grenoble's only try as they moved into fifth spot with a narrow 25-22 victory over Toulouse.

In other results on Saturday, Benjamin Urdapilleta kicked seven penalties as Oyannax continued their climb up the table with a 28-23 win over Bordeaux, Montpellier suffered a narrow 23-20 defeat to Lyon, while La Rochelle and Bayonne played to a 19-19 draw.

In Sunday's only match, Meyer Bosman scored a try in Stade Français's 20-17 win over Brive.
