Four players who are set to participate in the three-Test series between the Springboks and British & Irish Lions are on a five-man list of the current fastest players in the world.
According to a Ruck.co.uk compilation of the quickest men in world rugby over 100m, two Springbok wings top the charts, while two B&I Lions wings round off the list.
With an Englishman, who was overlooked for Lions selection also making the cut, it’s surprising that no players from New Zealand, Australia or Argentina are on the pace-men list.
Fastest rugby players in the world over 100m:
1 – Sbu Nkosi (10.59sec, South Africa)
2 – Cheslin Kolbe (10.7s, South Africa)
3 – Jonny May (10.71s, England)
4 – Louis Rees-Zammit (11.1s, Wales and B&I Lions)
5 – Anthony Watson (11.2s, England and B&I Lions)
