Wing Dillyn Leyds produced another storming performance in La Rochelle’s 38-23 win over Lyon in the French Top 14.
Leyds has been in top form since the turn of the year, propelling La Rochelle to joint second on the log alongside Cheslin Kolbe‘s Toulouse, who have a game in hand.
In the clash with Lyon, he again emerged as one of his team’s best performers with an 80-minute display during which he made four tackles, seven passes, two offloads, seven carries, two clean breaks, 37 run metres, beat five defenders, notched up a stunning try assist and scored a try.
While the Boks are rich in back-three options, Leyds will be hoping that his form will at least put in him consideration for a national recall sometime during the upcoming Test season.

Elsewhere, prop Lourens Adriaanse‘s Pau were 43-33 victors over Bayonne in a thrilling but ill-disciplined encounter that produced four yellow cards and a red card.
In the only other match this past weekend, Castres, with Rory Kockott, in their ranks stunned a Kolbe-less Toulouse 26-24 at home.
