All Blacks and Hurricanes wing Julian Savea has confirmed he will join Toulon at the end of the 2018 Super Rugby season.
The 27-year-old, who has scored 46 tries in 54 Tests, has fallen out of favour with the All Blacks selectors since the emergence and subsequent sustained good form of Rieko Ioane.
Following widespread speculation of a move abroad, Savea announced on Monday that he had signed for Toulon.
‘I’m excited for this next adventure and I look forward to being part of Toulon in a few months,’ he said.
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has since wished Savea and his family well for this new chapter in their lives.
‘On behalf of all the All Blacks, we want to wish Julian and his family all the very best and thank him for everything he has done for the All Blacks.’
