SA Rugby confirms Steinhoff split
Steinhoff has officially notified SA Rugby of its intention to withdraw from all sponsorship activities of the national sevens teams with immediate effect.

Steinhoff is no longer the Blitzboks’ sponsor after the global retail giant was hit by an accounting scandal. According to Netwerk24, the parties came to an agreement on the termination of the partnership in December, but it has not been made public yet. Renfred Dazel has been added to the Blitzboks’ coaching staff, while Paul Delport has been promoted to head coach of the Springbok Women’s Sevens team.
