The Sunwolves beat a Japanese Top League XV 52-24 in Tokyo on Saturday.
Japan's new Super Rugby franchise conceded a try in the first minute of this pre-season match, but bounced back to lead 24-10 at half-time.
According to the Japan Times, none of the Sunwolves' players really stood out apart from Samoan flyhalf Tusi Pisi, who was named Man of the Match.
'It was good just to get started more than anything,' said coach Mark Hammett said after the match, which was played in front of 10,438 fans. 'But we are not kidding ourselves. We know we have a lot to work on.'
