Former All Blacks centre Rene Ranger has joined the Sunwolves for the 2019 Super Rugby season.
Ranger was one of four players unveiled to be part of the Sunwolves squad for next year, as the Japanese side looks to improve under new head coach Tony Brown.
The physical Ranger, who can play wing or centre and has been capped six times by the All Blacks, had two stints with the Blues, playing for them between 2009 till 2011 and again in 2016.
Once-capped Scotland flyhalf Phil Burleigh has also joined the Sunwolves, while Georgian hooker Jaba Bregvadze and New Zealand-born flyhalf Hayden Parker have been retained.
