Loose forward Josh Strauss is one of six players who have been called up to the Scotland squad for their remaining November Tests.

Strauss – who plays for the Sale Sharks in the English Premiership – joins Adam Ashe, Scott Cummings, Nick Grigg and Duncan Weir as additions to the squad following the Test against Wales.

Fit-again fullback Stuart Hogg, who was predicted to miss the November Tests after undergoing ankle surgery, has also received a recall.

Edinburgh trio Ross Ford (hooker), Henry Pyrgos (scrumhalf) and Dougie Fife (wing) have been released to the club.

Scotland will next face Fiji before taking on the Springboks (17 November) and Argentina (24 November).
