The Stormers are set to field a full-strength team for their pre-season match against the Cheetahs at Newlands on Friday night.
That would see Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisi, Nizaam Carr, Jean Kleyn and Demetri Catrakilis making their first appearances of 2015.
Carr, who recently spent a week in hospital due to a virus, is fully recovered but final checks on his health will be made on Monday, with the Stormers team to be announced on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said he was pleased with his side's first hit-out of the year, which saw them beat the SWD Eagles 34-3 in George, and the scrum in particular.
'I was happy when Wilco Louw and Oli Kebble came on. The scrums were outstanding throughout, but I don’t want to boast too much [about that].
'There has been a lot of focus on our set piece in the off-season and I hope we see the same [this] week. The most important is to take a step forward in every game.'
