Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder says he is happy that the Super Rugby final will be played at a 'neutral' venue.
The Tahs have opted not to play the match at their regular ground, the 44,000-capacity Sydney Football Stadium, where they have enjoyed so much success this season. It will instead be held at the Olympic Stadium, which holds 83,500 fans. The Waratahs have already sold 50,000 tickets for the final and could break the record of 54,000 that was set at Kings Park in 2007, but it is unlikely to be sold out.
'This could only be the accountants and not so much the players [making the decision],' said Blackadder. 'I don't think it will make a difference to them, no-one is going to be hamstrung by it. But for us it is just the psychological aspect of going to a neutral stadium is just fantastic.
'I'm pleased we are playing there and not the other stadium where they have had so much success,' he added. 'It almost feels like it is a neutral venue for us.'
