CRAIG LEWIS picks a form South African XV based on performances in round seven of Super Rugby.
The Stormers made a massive statement of intent as they clinched a memorable 34-26 win over the Chiefs at Newlands on Saturday. In particular, captain Siya Kolisi was omnipresent throughout the encounter, and was a deserved recipient of the Man of the Match award.
Among the backs, Cheslin Kolbe was simply irrepressible, with the pocket rocket making 113m with ball in hand, while completing two linebreaks.
There was also a good win for the Stormers' coastal counterparts, the Sharks, in round seven, but their hard-fought 18-13 win over the Jaguares was a far less appealing affair.
Meanwhile, on a weekend when the Lions had a bye, there was a shock defeat for the bumbling Bulls against the Sunwolves, while Lionel Cronjé's antics were not enough for the Kings to get a win over the Force.
