Rosko Specman has been nominated for the 2017 World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year Award.
The Blitzboks speedster is one of three shortlisted candidates and will vie with Perry Baker from the USA and Fiji’s Jerry Tuwai for the prestigious award.
Werner Kok and Seabelo Senatla won the award in 2015 and 2016 respectively and if Specman scoops the prize, it will be a Blitzboks clean sweep for the best sevens player three years in a row.
