John Smit will captain a star-studded SA Rugby Travel team at the World Cup.

South African rugby fans will be given a magic carpet ride to the World Cup with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, following the announcement of the SA Rugby Travel World Cup match-day lineup on Monday.

The campaign will be captained by Smit, while on the ground in the UK to give the Bok faithful a unique experience, will be another former Bok skipper and Survivor star, Corné Krige, SA TV star Katlego Maboe and SA music legend Kurt Darren to name a few.

Smit has been appointed as SA Rugby Travel ambassador to the World Cup and will be championing the cause of the Springbok fan by attending public events leading up to the tournament to let the fans know exactly what's in store for them.
