Siya Kolisi is set to captain the Stormers again in this year’s Vodacom Super Rugby tournament.
No official announcement has been made, but according to Netwerk24, Stormers coach Robbie Fleck has decided to retain Kolisi as team captain for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old Kolisi made history when he became the first black captain to lead both the Stormers (in 2017) and Springboks (in 2018).
He also led the Stormers again last year and is expected to wear the captain’s armband for both franchise and country in 2019.
Lock Eben Etzebeth is likely to be reappointed as Stormers vice-captain.
Meanwhile, the Stormers have confirmed that they’ll play three pre-season fixtures against a Combined Club XV on 26 January, followed by games against the Bulls and Boland on 3 and 8 February respectively.
