Reports from England suggest that the Six Nations are more open to the idea of aligning the tournament’s dates with the Rugby Championship.
The Telegraph has reported that the Six Nations may move away from its usual starting date in February as rugby draws closer to a global calendar with aligned Test windows.
According to the report, the idea – which came from a meeting between representatives from the Northern and Southern hemispheres – is that both the Six Nations and Rugby Championship reach a compromise with both tournaments running at the same time between March and April.
That would mean that the Championship would be brought forward from August, but this would also coincide with Vodacom Super Rugby.
