Sharks back S’bura Sithole says the team is determined to make up for a disappointing 2015 Super Rugby campaign.
The Sharks finished fourth in the SA conference in 2015 and 11th overall, after winning their conference and making the semi-finals the year before under then coach Jake White.
‘We were very disappointed with what happened last year. This season, we want to right our wrongs with this talented squad we have at the Sharks,’ Sithole commented. ‘In 2015, we had many new faces in the squad and it was a big learning curve, but we have no more excuses. We’ve got a great mix of experience and exciting players. We need to make sure we build good momentum in 2016.’
The Sharks’ 2016 Super Rugby campaign gets under way on 27 February against the Kings in Port Elizabeth.
