A poll conducted by a New Zealand radio producer of over 100 Super Rugby Aotearoa players apparently revealed 46% had some misgivings about the All Blacks coaching appointments.
According to the news out of New Zealand, another 26% also claimed they were ‘happy with Ian Foster but not the assistant coaches’.
Foster has taken over from former long-serving coach Steve Hansen, with the former receiving the job ahead of popular Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson.
Foster’s assistants are Scott McLeod (defence), John Plumtree (forwards), Brad Mooar (backs) and Greg Feek (scrum coach).
The survey – which was said to have included at least 15 players from each of the five Vodacom Super Rugby franchises – ultimately asked more than 100 players 40 questions about the state of New Zealand rugby.
