Cheetahs prop Coenie Oosthuizen will join the Sharks on a four-year deal.
The 21-Test Bok is set to arrive in Durban in November for pre-season training ahead of the 2016 Vodacom Super Rugby tournament.
'I am pleased that Coenie has taken up our offer to play his rugby in Durban,' said Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold. 'He is an exceptional player who boasts surprising pace and is known for his strong runs and work rate around the park. His experience will prove invaluable to our team ambitions going forward.'
Oosthuizen added: 'It is a great privilege for me to sign with the Sharks. This is a new chapter in my career and I am looking forward to this exciting opportunity in Durban.'
He is the third Cheetahs player to have been snapped up by the Sharks recently, following Joe Pietersen and Willie le Roux's decision to also leave Bloemfontein.
