The Sharks will play Racing 92 at the Aberdeen Sports Ground in Hong Kong on 3 February.
The match will serve as a Super Rugby warm-up for the Durban-based franchise.
‘Racing 92 is an impressive team with quality players. A match against them will be the ideal test that we require at the start of the 2018 Super Rugby tournament, in terms of preparation and the fine-tuning of our game plan,’ said Sharks coach Robert du Preez.
The Sharks could come up against their former flyhalf Pat Lambie, who has recently made a big impact for his French club.
‘Through the Hong Kong Sevens, we have seen how popular the game is in that part of the world, and look forward to playing in front of a great crowd and making new memories,’ Du Preez added.
The Aberdeen Sports Ground has a capacity of 9,000 and is the home of Hong Kong Premier League club Southern.
