The Sharks are set to take on French club Bordeaux in a ‘Durban Challenge’ friendly match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 17 August.
The Sharks – in partnership with the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, Durban Tourism and the Moses Mabhida Stadium – announced the one-off fixture on Wednesday.
It will be the first time the Sharks play at the Moses Mabhida Stadium that is situated across the road from the Durban-based team’s home ground of Kings Park.
The Sharks are currently third in the South African Super Rugby conference standings and ninth on the overall log.
Bordeaux, who have former Sharks lock Jandré Marais on their payroll, finished the season in 10th position on the Top 14 table.
