The Sharks have confirmed that skipper Lukhanyo Am has signed a contract extension through to 2022.
Earlier this year, Am was appointed as captain for the Vodacom Super Rugby season, apparently an extremely popular choice among his peers.
However, Am then became one of the players who was targeted by overseas clubs when SA Rugby enforced a 21-day contractual exit window during lockdown.
The World Cup winner ultimately opted to remain in Durban, and that contract extension has now been confirmed until 2022.
