Philip van der Walt has been ruled out of the Sharks' tour to France and replaced by Lubabalo Mtyanda.

The 26-year-old Van der Walt will miss the trip due to concussion, with Mtyanda, who represented the Sharks in last year's Super Rugby tournament, called up.

The Sharks will play two pre-season friendlies against Toulon (5 February) and Toulouse (12 February). Neither will be televised by SuperSport.
