The Lions have announced that 19 players, including Warren Whiteley and Jaco Kriel, have signed long-term contract extensions with the union.
The players put pen to paper after successful negotiations with the Golden Lions Rugby Union, which will see most of them stay in Joburg beyond the 2017 season. This follows the news that the senior coaching staff members have recommitted to the union as well.
GLRU CEO Rudolf Straeuli confirmed they are in the process of extending more players' contracts, which will be confirmed in due course.
