Blitzboks wing Seabelo Senatla says he would ‘definitely’ like to be a part of the squad for the Sevens World Cup in July, writes DYLAN JACK.
Senatla missed a major part of the sevens season while on duty for the Stormers in Super Rugby but returned for the London and Paris legs of the Sevens Series.
The speedster said playing Super Rugby had been part of his development as a player, but left his future open when it came to confirming whether he would return to sevens full-time.
‘It is what we call “phase two”,’ Senatla said. ‘The bulk of my work was always going to be with fifteens with a supplement of sevens.
‘We are sticking to that plan, sticking to that mandate. Until we evaluate the whole plan, we will see how far we can go with that.
‘Phase two is nearly done, so you never know,’ Senatla added. ‘Life can come at you and things can change, so you never know what might happen.’
When asked specifically whether he would like to take part in the Sevens World Cup, Senatla answered ‘definitely’.
