Seabelo Senatla is one of several experienced players to start for the Stormers in their final Preparation Series clash against the Lions in Cape Town on Saturday.
Senatla will start his first match of the pre-season in an experienced back three with Sergeal Petersen and fullback Damian Willemse.
There is a return for Dan du Plessis in midfield, while flyhalf Abner van Reenen gets an opportunity to stamp his mark at flyhalf alongside scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies.
In the pack, youngster Evan Roos, who joined the Stormers from the Sharks, makes his first start and there could also be a potential debut for Marvin Orie, who is on the bench against his former side.
Also on the bench is the Springbok front row of Steven Kitshoff, Bongi Mbonambi and Frans Malherbe.
Salmaan Moerat retains the captaincy from last week.
